For most fans, Kingdom Hearts 3 has been a long time coming. With the wait finally over, many players are quickly realizing that there’s a lot to this game, in both story as well as gameplay mechanics. Keyblades are another a major component of the KH series, and like in the previous games, this third entry has a number of hidden or unlockable ones that players can come across.
One such blade, the Ultima Weapon, makes its return as the best keyblade in the game. The base statistics alone put the weapon in a class by itself, featuring 13 strength and 13 magic. As for abilities, the Ultima Weapon is a great melee weapon as it has combo boost, air combo boost, and situation boost. It also unlocks Sora’s Ultimate Form, which gives the player a unique moveset, new abilities, and wide attacks with very high damage output.
For such a powerful weapon, it’s going to take a bit of effort and grinding to be able to craft it. Here’s how to unlock it in Kingdom Hearts 3.
Get the Recipe
The first step in this process is to obtain the recipe needed to craft the weapon. In order to do this, players will need to acquire 58 different synthesis materials. These items are fairly common and drop from beating enemies, destroying rocks in the gummi ship, synthesizing them from a workshop, and being found as random drops from treasure chests.
Players can also head to a Moogle Workshop to see how many materials they have by going to Collector’s Goals. Once 58 is reached, the Ultima Weapon recipe becomes available to use.
Craft the Ultima Weapon
With the recipe unlocked, players now have the option to craft the blade, although the requirements and materials needed are quite high. The required items are 2 Wellspring Crystals, 2 Lucid Crystals, 2 Pulsing Crystals, and 7 Orichalcum+. Wellspring crystals typically drop from high-end monsters and can be rewarded from certain events like Battle Portals in San Fransokyo. The other crystal types can be synthesized at the Workshop as long as the requirements are met.
The Orichalcum is a very rare crafting material that is earned as a reward through various activities. Some of these include finding 80 out of the 90 Lucky emblems, finding a treasure chest on Exile Island and The Final World, getting a random reward from a Moogle Postcard, defeating the Omega Machine Boss in The Eclipse galaxy, finding all 10 Treasures during the Frozen Slider minigame, and earning three fruit high scores from all of the Flantastic Seven when replaying worlds.
Once all of the necessary materials are obtained, players can craft the Ultima Weapon from the Synthesize Items page in the Moogle Workshop.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is available now for PS4 and Xbox One.
As you may have seen in our separate best Kingdom Hearts 3 keyblades guide, the Ultima Weapon is absolutely the best keyblade you can get your hands on. Unfortunately, you can't actually obtain the Ultima Weapon until the end of the game, and even when it's possible to get it there's still a lot of work to be done so you can unlock it. You need to track down all the required materials to synthesise it, which is basically the same as crafting,
Nonetheless, the developers yet included and integrated a new mind-boggling feature in this new Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 PC Game Download. Which is the revamped battle system, where players will be able to fight opponents with new abilities and powers. Naruto shippuden ultimate ninja storm 4 download pc torrent.
You have to synthesise it, which is essentially the same as crafting, which means you need to find all the correct materials. In this Kingdom Hearts 3 Ultima Weapon guide, we've got all the information you need to unlock the Ultima Weapon and slay Heartless quicker than ever before in Kingdom Hearts 3.
What is the Kingdom Hearts 3 Ultima Weapon?
The Ultima Weapon is the final keyblade available to you, and it's required to unlock the aptly named Ultima Weapon trophy/achievement. You have to 'synthesise' it, which is Kingdom Hearts 3's way of saying you need to craft it with the right materials. When you do get the Ultima Weapon, it has a Strength and Magic stat of 13 apiece, which is almost higher than any other keyblade in the game - only the Classic Tone keyblade can go higher with 14 Magic at max level. But how do you get the Ultima Weapon?
How to get the Ultima Weapon in Kingdom Hearts 3
To get the Ultima Weapon in Kingdom Hearts 3, you need to source four separate materials. The first, and easily the toughest, is Orichalcum+. You need seven of the stuff and there's only seven available in the entire game, each found in a specific location or via a certain method. Since it's so tough to find, it deserved an entire guide of its own which you can find here: Kingdom Hearts 3 Orichalcum+ locations.
After you've got seven Orichalcum+, you need to obtain two Wellspring Crystals, two Lucid Crystals, and two Pulsing Crystals. Thankfully, they're all obtainable in specific locations endlessly, as long as you've beaten the main story.
Where to find Wellspring Crystals in Kingdom Hearts 3
For Wellspring Crystals, you need to head back to San Fransokyo, the world of Big Hero 6. On top of one of the buildings is Battlegate 12, the same location you obtain Secret Report 12 as explained in our Kingdom Hearts 3 Battlegates guide. Keep playing this battlegate over and over and eventually, you'll stack up the Wellspring Crystals. We'd recommend using the Favorite Deputy keyblade so enemies drop more loot.
Where to find Lucid Crystals in Kingdom Hearts 3
Lucid Crystals are a little trickier. You need to synthesise these yourself at the Moogle shop, and they take one Wellspring Crystal, two Lucid Gems, three Lucid Stones and five Lucid Shards. Farm up enough Wellspring Crystals at Battlegate 12, then head to the Kingdom of Corona. You'll find Lucid Shards by killing plenty of Malachite Boleros, and Lucid Gems are found on Chief Puffs. For Lucid Stones, go to Olympus and kill enough Air Soldiers. If you're unsure on which enemies these are, be sure to consult your Gummiphone Adversaries section.
Where to find Pulsing Crystals in Kingdom Hearts 3
Again, your best bet is to focus on getting the materials to synthesise Pulsing Crystals yourself. It needs one Wellspring Crystal, two Pulsing Gems, three Pulsing Stones and five Pulsing Shards. You know where to get Wellspring Crystals from but for Pulsing Gems, you need to kill plenty of Satyrs. These friendly folks can be found in droves through Battlegate 1 in Olympus, which is just up the stairs from the Realm of the Gods Summit.
Pulsing Stones are frequent drops from Powerwild Heartless, which are the small monkeys in The Caribbean. Pulsing Shards on the other hand are most commonly found from Earth Cores in Olympus.
When you have all the ingredients you need, head to your nearest Moogle shop and synthesise that Ultima Weapon!

How to Get Ultima Weapon in Kingdom Hearts 3
While the Keyblades you’re given after you reach the end of each world in Kingdom Hearts 3, they’re not the most powerful weapons in the game. That honor goes to the Ultima Weapon. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get the Ultima Weapon in Kingdom Hearts 3.
First of all, you should know that it’s very difficult to get your hands on. You won’t be able to get it until you’ve completed the main story.
Synthesis Materials
The first of a few steps to get it involves getting 58 different types of synthesis materials. In our playthrough, we weren’t able to do this until we’d beaten the game and fought a couple of the Battle Gates (which are hard optional battles that crop up once you’ve beaten the story).
Since you get synthesis materials by doing things such as killing enemies, opening treasure chests, or destroying rocks with the Gummi Ship, the new enemy types found in Battle Gates allows you to get nearer to the 58 different types needed.
You need to take the 58 different synthesis materials to the Moogle Shop so that you can unlock the recipe for the Ultima Weapon. Once you have done, you’ll need to get the items required, with one in particular being tough. The full recipe is:
Orichalcum Plus
It is the Orichalcum Plus that’s difficult to get. The other three are simple enough to synthesise. There are seven different ways that you can get it.

Once you’ve got everything you need, you can craft the Ultima Weapon at the Moogle Shop.
That’s everything there is to know about how to get the Ultima Weapon in Kingdom Hearts 3. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our Kingdom Hearts 3 wiki guide.
After you've finished the main Kingdom Hearts 3 story, you'll then be able to synthesise (or craft, if you prefer) the Ultima Weapon, which according to our best Kingdom Hearts 3 keyblades list is the best keyblade in the game with a Strength and Magic rating of 13 each. If you're planning on grinding your way up to level 99 with Sora then this keyblade is essential, but the requirements for how to get the Kingdom Hearts 3 Ultima Weapon are pretty tough. You'll need seven Orichalcum+ to complete the synthesis, so to help you on your way we have all of the Kingdom Hearts 3 Orichalcum+ locations that can lead you to keyblade glory with the Ultima Weapon.
1. Twilight Town Postcards
One of the simplest, but perhaps most annoying methods of obtaining one Kingdom Hearts 3 Orichalcum+ is by playing the Moogle lottery. Sometimes when you buy something from the Moogle shop (we think it's after you spend 200 Munny), you receive a Prize Postcard. These can be posted at the postbox in Twilight Town, right next to the save point in Tram Common.
Every time you put a Prize Postcard in the postbox, you receive an item. This item is random, and there's a slim chance it can be Orichalcum+. So essentially, you have to keep buying things from the Moogle shop and posting Prize Postcards until the random chance gives you an Orichalcum+. Fun, right?
2. The Caribbean Treasure Chest
Not all Orichalcum+ are hard to obtain. This one is simply inside a chest in The Caribbean world. Head out to the High Seas and travel to Exile Island. In the middle of the island you'll find a chest containing the precious material.
3. The Final World Treasure Chest
Remember that mysterious location where you met the Chirithy and Sora's entire surroundings were an infinite sky? If you fast travel to the Keyblade Graveyard - Badlands, then turn around and go back to the initial arena, you can take the pink warp gate back to The Final World. Right in front of you will be another chest with some Orichalcum+.
4. Collect all Frozen Slider Treasures
In Arendelle, Elsa has a very fun mini game for you to try out. Called Frozen Slider, Sora hops on Goofy's shield with Donald and you slide down the North Mountain, collecting points, grinding rails and zooming through ice caverns. If you want to get 600,000 points make sure you follow our Kingdom Hearts 3 Shield Shredder award guide, but for the Orichalcum+ you need to collect the 10 treasures littered throughout the short course. Make sure you're checking every corner and crevice, because these treasures can be tricky to find. After you find all 10, you'll receive another Orichalcum+.
5. Collect all 90 lucky emblems
You've no doubt stumbled upon a few hidden Mickeys - or lucky emblems, to give them their proper name - during your Kingdom Hearts 3 journey. There are 90 of them in total and once you collect every single one, you'll obtain another Orichalcum+. Struggling to find them? Fear not, for we have a complete guide to all Kingdom Hearts 3 lucky emblems locations.
6. Defeat the Omega Space Ship
Hop in your Gummi Ship, because a space skirmish is the method of obtaining the next Orichalcum+. Go to the Eclipse galaxy (the third and final one) and surrounding the outside of the huge structure that takes up the majority of the environment are five enemies. One on each of the four sides, with a final one for good luck underneath. Defeat all five of these enemies and the lights leading to the top should turn on. This will cause the Omega Space Ship to spawn, which is a huge boss who puts up one hell of a fight. Take it down and you'll receive the sixth Kingdom Hearts Orichalcum+.
7. Complete all Flantastic Seven missions
As you complete each of the main worlds in Kingdom Hearts 3, there will be a Flan waiting for you somewhere when you return. You need to participate in each of their mini games to earn a trophy, as explained in our Kingdom Hearts 3 Flanmeister award guide, but you need to do slightly more than that for the Orichalcum+. Every Flan mini game has a score threshold that you need to beat to earn three of the respective ingredient, and a new ability. Beat this high score for every single one - you'll know when you've done it at the end because the Flan will jump up and down, clapping it's short arms - and when you've done all seven, the final Orichalcum+ will be yours.
